How to hide your following list on TikTok
Updated October 14, 2026
The short answer
Go to Settings and privacy → Privacy → Following list and choose Only me. Your account stays public, but nobody else can open the list of accounts you follow. Hiding your followers list is different: that takes a private account.
How do you hide your following list on TikTok?
- Open TikTok and go to your profile.
- Tap the menu (☰) in the top corner, then Settings and privacy.
- Tap Privacy, then Following list.
- Choose Only me to hide it from everyone, or Friends to show it only to people you follow back.
- It changes straight away, and you can switch it back whenever you like.
- It doesn’t affect your views or reach.
What can people still see when it’s hidden?
- Your follower and following counts. TikTok has no way to hide the numbers.
- Mutual follows. If a visitor follows some of the same accounts you do, TikTok can still show them those.
- Your followers list, unless your account is private.
How do you hide your followers list on TikTok?
There’s no separate setting for the people who follow you. To hide that list, make your account private: Settings and privacy → Privacy → Private account. Then only people you approve can see your followers and videos.
Going private doesn’t remove anyone who already follows you. To cut someone off, open your Followers list, tap ⋯ next to their name and remove them, or block them.
How do you stop TikTok suggesting your account?
A hidden list doesn’t stop TikTok from suggesting your account to people who have your number or mutual friends. Turn off Suggest your account to others in Settings and privacy → Privacy if you want to keep a low profile.
Can you see who someone else follows on TikTok?
If their following list is public, Red Flag Follows (redflagfollows.app) can show who they followed most recently, newest first. A list set to Only me isn’t public, so neither TikTok nor tools like ours can show it.
