How to see who someone recently followed on TikTok
Updated October 14, 2026
The short answer
TikTok doesn’t show it: there’s no “recently followed” view and no follow dates on anyone’s Following list. To see a public account’s newest follows first, type its username into Red Flag Follows (redflagfollows.app), which lists up to its last 100 TikTok follows, newest first.
What does TikTok show about someone’s follows?
- Their following count, on their profile.
- Their Following list, unless they’ve hidden it. It has no dates and no sort option, so it can’t tell you when they followed anyone.
- Nothing else. TikTok has no activity feed of other people’s follows and doesn’t tell anyone when an account they’re curious about follows someone new.
How do you check someone’s TikTok Following list by hand?
- Open their profile in the TikTok app.
- Tap Following under their name to open the list.
- Screenshot it, then check again in a few days and compare. Anything new is a recent follow.
- It only catches follows made after your first screenshot.
- It gets slow once someone follows more than a few hundred accounts.
- If they’ve set their Following list to Only me, TikTok won’t show it to you.
How do you see their newest TikTok follows first?
Type their username or paste their profile link into Red Flag Follows’ TikTok search. It shows the public account’s most recent follows, newest first: up to 100 of them.
The list is sorted into women, men and others (brands, pages, fan accounts), using each account’s public name, bio and photo. The first checks are free and show the counts; subscribers see every name, photo and profile link.
You don’t need a TikTok account, and we never ask for a password.
Can you get told when they follow someone new?
Yes. Turn on new follow alerts for one account. We check it every 2 hours and email you as soon as it follows someone new.
Will they see that you looked?
No. TikTok’s profile view history only records people who visit a profile from their own logged-in TikTok account. Red Flag Follows doesn’t use your TikTok account or theirs, so nothing shows up on their side.
What if their following list is hidden or their account is private?
Then nobody outside can see who they follow, including us. TikTok lets people hide their following list on a public account, and a private account’s lists are only visible to approved followers.
